Janesville Animal Medical Center promises to provide you and your pets with service of the highest quality, keeping your companions healthy and giving you peace of mind. Our staff believes that it is through communicating with you, the pet owner, that we can both work together to give your pet a happy and healthy life. Pets are an important part of all our lives, and the staff at Janesville Animal Medical Center wants nothing more than to ensure that your animal companions remain with you for a long, long time.
Dr. Dean Peterson started his practice in Janesville in 1978 after doing an internship at the internationally known Haggard Equine Institute in Lexington, Kentucky. Dr. Peterson graduated from Michigan State University and is a current member of the WVMA, AAEP, AVMA, and WEPA. He has been president of the local vet association, RVVMA, the Wisconsin Equine Practitioners Association (WEPA), and the state vet association, WVMA. He is active in local, state and national committees. He presently serves on the Wisconsin 4-H foundation. In addition, he is a member of Rock Prairie Presbyterian Church and the Janesville Morning Rotary Club. Dr. Peterson's special interests are Equine lameness, reproduction, and surgery. He is also the proud Grandpa of Gracie, Tucker, Ellie, Brittany, Logan, and Morgan.
Our two small animal doctors - Dr. Thurber and Dr. Gibbs, are here to make sure your house pets are healthy and happy!
Whether your animal comes through the front door or the barn door, the JAMC staff welcomes you with a smile and the experience, latest methods and equipment for both preventative and treatment centered care. The clinic is conveniently located on Milton Ave/Hwy 26N between Janesville and Milton. In the same building is Janesville Equine Hospital & Clinic, which is a division of Janesville Animal Medical Center.
Our surgical suites accommodate both small and large animals, providing local emergency and acute care close to home. The barn lets your horse recuperate in a safe environment with a quick walk across the aisle for exams and checkups.
Kat's K-9 Clips is our the inhouse grooming service. Kathy takes appointments on Tuesday through Friday. Drop off your pet between 8:30 and 9:00 a.m.
